ARCADIA | Mayor Brian Fink of Arcadia, Ohio, has invited the Fostoria Free Press to record council meetings in an effort to improve transparency. Additionally, citizens of Arcadia have been reaching out to express their concerns regarding the integrity of their council members. The last straw for the community stemmed from Council President Aadam Duckett’sbehavior toward a resident at the previous meeting. Duckett allegedly cussed at the resident before being asked to leave the meeting due to his inability to control his temper.

In an effort to restore order and transparency within the Village of Arcadia, four documents will be served to the council tonight: a Letter of Intent to Sue, a Notice of Video & Audio Recording, and two Public Records Requests. Justification for these documents includes last year’s fraud investigation conducted by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Case #2024-00004292.

The Fostoria Free Press team has secured ownership of ArcadiaOhio.net, a newly launched website for hosting Arcadia news and local happenings. ArcadiaOhio.net may also be followed on Facebook. Over the next several months, I will be seeking local volunteer recruits for this initiative. This platform will only perform at its fullest if community members come forward to step into the roles of information gatherers and writers. Elected or appointed officials are not welcome to participate.
