PORT CLINTON | Kick Off 2026 with CMP’s Junior Rifle Club: A Safe, Fun Winter Activity for Kids

Looking for an engaging indoor activity to keep kids active and learning during the cold winter months? The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has the perfect solution: their Junior Rifle Club starting January 13, 2026!

No experience? No problem! This air rifle club welcomes complete beginners, with loaner equipment available and instruction led by former NCAA Division I rifle athletes.

Open to juniors ages 10 and up, the 10-week program runs at two state-of-the-art indoor electronic air ranges:

  • Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center in Talladega, Alabama
  • Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center in Port Clinton, Ohio

Participants learn the fundamentals of air rifle marksmanship—an official Olympic sport—while building valuable life skills like discipline, self-control, focus, and goal-setting. Safety is the top priority throughout.

Sessions begin January 13 at 5 p.m. EST (Ohio) / 4 p.m. CST (Alabama). Stop by for an open house or learn more at https://thecmp.org/cmp-junior-rifle-club/.

Give your child a unique opportunity to try a precision sport in a supportive, educational environment. Spots fill up fast—see you on the range! 🎯
