TIFFIN, Ohio — Neighboring Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division is actively recruiting dedicated individuals to join their team as Firefighters with EMT or Paramedic certification.

The department highlighted exciting updates in a recent social media announcement, including a new 24/72 shift schedule designed for better work-life balance—24 hours on duty followed by 72 hours off—allowing more time at home while maintaining the same high level of community service.

Additionally, a new 10-year longevity scale means personnel can reach top pay faster than before.

Who Can Apply:

  • Lateral Applicants: Must hold Level II Firefighter certification and be an EMT or Paramedic. Bring your prior service credit to count toward longevity pay.
  • New Hires: Must have at least Level I Firefighter certification and EMT or Paramedic credentials. Applicants need to complete the National Testing Network exam and upload scores.
