What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, supposedly.
“What really Burns me”
Well I’m back with another article about “what really Burns me. ”
It is something I have been debating with others since before the greatest president of all time took office. And no I don’t mean Joe Biden. but I digress.
Illegal immigration is a Hot topic with a lot of people: some for, some against, some want to let them stay here, some want to make them go home.
Being as I spent a couple of years in Venezuela and learned to speak Spanish (Castiano), I am all for immigration. If you can make a better life for yourself by coming here then do so, but do it correctly.
Now since I voiced that opinion, and a couple of videos on social media sites, I have been getting a lot of blowback, specifically about something that the left talks and screams about quite a bit.
It’s about due process and the fifth amendment, the 5th amendment is where it’s speaks about due process and what it is used for.
Now, to clarify, the fifth amendment speaks about due process but only in the context of someone who is being charged with a capital crime it says that right in the first line of the fifth amendment and it reads to the effect that no one shall be charged with a capital crime or convicted thereof without due process of law.
Now I know that’s confusing because most people know the fifth amendment only for the specific part that says that they have the right to not self incriminate but believe me the fifth amendment is much longer than that and there’s more to the fifth amendment than just “pleading the fifth”
The issue that I’m having is that people keep reminding me that illegal immigrants deserve due process yet that is not the case.
Due process should apply only to American citizens not anyone that is foreign born because due process was written into the Constitution before we had immigration laws before we actually had borders as we have them now and long before we had an invasion from foreign Nations.
The argument that keeps coming back to me is that the fifth amendment states that “No One” Shall be without due process. people are arguing that it refers to everyone that is on American soil, yet I say again, when this was written it was not written in our time it was written in a time where they didn’t have those kind of problems with immigrations and people from foreign Nations illegally crossing borders. It was not written nor was it meant for anyone foreign born.
At which time I argued back the same thing I’ve argued before if the fifth amendment and due process applies to foreign born Nationals or applies to immigrants that are here causing the border incorrectly illegally then the laws about immigration should apply to them automatically as well, such as it is a federal crime to cross the border improperly which could warrant you a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and deportation thereafter.
I believe what is good for the goose is good for the gander and in this case the goose being the fifth amendment the gander being Federal Prison.
If someone deserves to have due process for coming across the border without permission without the proper documentation without doing things correctly then they deserve to have a criminal charge levied against them.
And then we go to the protests and the fights against ice and the ice raids and the deportations and how they are not getting due process.
But the laws clearly state that anyone that is here without proper vetting without the proper documentation and or correct way of doing things that they have the RIGHT to be immediately deported. Under those circumstances they do not have to have even an immigration hearing by a judge they can forgo that and move straight to the removal of said individual at the discretion of ice and the department that handles immigration within our government.
So I guess in this case the left is right these people do have rights they have the right to be deported for being here for 10 years and never even applying for citizenship never even trying to go through the process not once and you would think with that amount of time here they would have at least started.
Then there’s the complaint about Donald Trump and how he’s deporting so many people yet every single politician that has run for president since Ronald Reagan and a lot of other politicians also have spoken about the need for illegal immigrants to be deported it’s continuous all the way from Hillary Clinton to Chuck Schumer to Nancy pelosi have all stated the same things illegal immigration needs to stop and they all need to be sent back.
Since Ronald Reagan this is a breakdown of the amount of deportations that each individual president has under their belt.
1. Ronald Reagan had approximately 9.2 million his first term and 5.3 million his second.
2. George HW Bush 5.2 million
3. Bill Clinton had an extremely high number of deportations at 12.3 million total.
4. George W. Bush (Bush the 2nd) had 8.3 – 10.3 million though some of those numbers are a little unclear as the exact amount.
5. And everybody’s beloved President Barack Hussein Obama had a total of approximately 5.3 million.
6. And now president Trump in his first term, and before I give you this number, realize that there are so many people screaming and hollering about how evil Donald Trump is for all the deportation, but take this number into consideration, his first term he deported approximately….. Wait for that big huge number….760,000. that is all that is the deportation numbers for Donald Trump’s first term. So why is everybody screaming and hollering? s it because his deportation numbers now are going to be much higher?
Let’s go on to Joe Biden who had a removal of 4.6 million illegals with 270,000 in 2023 alone.
For those that are complaining continuously about the deportations of illegals, first and foremost remember the word illegal that’s what they are, that’s what makes them criminals so if you want due process to apply then so would the charges for committing a federal crime apply.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too you can’t blame Trump for deporting so many people when prior president said deported nearly five times as many individually and nearly 30 times as many combined let’s stop crying about deportation and let’s start crying about the crimes that were committed by these individuals starting with the crime of crossing the border illegally moving on to un-aliving several people Mass amounts of theft and physical assault, Rape, extortion, property theft, etc etc etc
Plus the strain on our resources with sanctuary cities and paying for hotels and giving them welfare and money and everything else that a person needs. When we as Americans suffer, struggle, and can’t make ends meet, and they get it all for free. If you see something right in that, then I hate to say it, but I guess you’re not a true American.
And the fifth amendment or any other amendment of OUR Constitution applies to no one else but American citizens. MAGA. That is what really Burns me.
As always these are just my opinions. But like them or don’t like them, #PissedOffRedneckVeteran is going to tell them to you anyway.
