A family in the Rootstown Local School District is sounding the alarm after learning their nine-year-old daughter felt unsafe at school—until the elementary principal, Jeff Turner, was briefly sidelined.
According to the parents’ account, the girl reported a sexual assault by classmates. When they confronted officials, Turner allegedly dismissed their version, saying “that wasn’t what the girls told me,” despite teacher reports matching the parents’ story. The parents suspect the girls were intimidated during a private meeting with Turner alone—no female staff present.
