FOSTORIA | Coordinated Drug Raids Across Fostoria Result in Multiple Arrests, Guns and Cash Seized
FOSTORIA — A multi-agency drug enforcement effort led to several arrests and the recovery of suspected narcotics, firearms and cash following coordinated raids at multiple Fostoria homes on February 9.
The Seneca County Drug Task Force – METRICH Enforcement Unit carried out the operation with support from the Fostoria Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Special Response Team, Tiffin Police Department, Adult Parole Authority, and counterparts from neighboring Hancock County, including its Drug Task Force and Special Response Team.
Authorities executed search warrants—authorized by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Damon Alt—at four residences connected to an ongoing narcotics investigation:
– 901 Cory Street, home of Marcel Fuller, 27
– 227 West Jackson Street, home of Joe Esquivel, 22
– 515 West Culbertson Street, home of Florentino Rodriguez, 34
– 1235 North Union Street, home of Dion Tey Jr., 29
Investigators reported confiscating a large amount of cash, a quantity of suspected cocaine and several firearms during the searches.
According to officials, Dion Tey Jr. was taken into custody on charges of tampering with evidence and having weapons under disability. Florentino Rodriguez was arrested on a parole violation. Additional charges—including weapons offenses, possession of criminal tools, drug trafficking and conspiracy—are expected as the investigation continues.
“This operation demonstrates the strength of collaboration between local and regional law enforcement agencies,” said Fostoria Police Chief Gabe Wedge. “Our teams are committed to long-term investigations that target the drug activity threatening our communities.”
The task force noted that the case remains active and further charges are likely as evidence is reviewed.
