The City of Fostoria is proud to announce that we have once again been recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA community for the 44th time!

This is also (what we think to be) the first year Fostoria has received the Tree City USA Growth Award, which recognizes communities that go above and beyond in strengthening and advancing their urban forestry programs.

Over the past year, the City has made major strides in urban forest management, including strategic tree removals and replanting plans, grant-funded improvements, expanded inventory tracking, and long-term maintenance planning. These efforts help ensure our trees remain safe, diverse, and resilient for generations to come.

Mark your calendars! Arbor Day is Friday, April 30th.

We will have a public celebration planned!

Thank you to our Tree & Beautification Committee, City staff, and residents who continue to support Fostoria’s urban forest.

Here’s to 44 years — and continued growth ahead!
