FINDLAY — Findlay added a new place to stay this week, and another new business is getting its welcome next Tuesday.

City Express by Marriott opens

The Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce’s ambassadors held a ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon, Oct. 22, to celebrate the opening of City Express by Marriott at 941 Interstate Dr. The chamber called it the newest hotel in Findlay. The chamber’s event listing names Horizon Hospitality LLC as the event contact.

City Express by Marriott is a Marriott International brand of budget-friendly hotels. Interstate Drive sits near the Interstate 75 corridor, an area already home to many of the city’s hotels and restaurants.

The Willow Center ribbon cutting Tuesday

Next up, the chamber will cut the ribbon at The Willow Center’s new Findlay office on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 4:30 p.m. The office is at 2113 Tiffin Ave., Suite 104, according to the chamber’s calendar.

The Willow Center says on its website that the Findlay office is its fourth location. It offers counseling for individuals, couples, families, children and teens, along with psychiatric services from licensed providers, and it says it also serves University of Findlay students.

Ribbon cuttings are open to the community. Questions about Tuesday’s event can go to the chamber at 419-422-3313.

Anyone in crisis can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, at any time.
