EPA; you too can have a permit to pollute, for a price

WHAT REALLY BURNS ME

Well I’m back and as you can clearly see here, I’m still kicking. No the prognosis of death earlier than standard life expectancy still stands for me, I guess God is not done with me yet.  Must still be something I have to do. Well I’m hoping that this is part of it.

So WIN waste innovations, (formerly and lovingly known as Sunny Farms Landfill, [inject sarcasm]) has been applying for permits left and right and receiving them regardless of what “rules and regulations” are set forth by the wonderful EPA , you know the folks who are always looking out for your well-being and the Earth’s well-being.

You see apparently if you want to pollute or break or bend any of the EPA’s regulations all you have to do is hand them a little bit of money.

I’ll give a little break down here of what Sunny Farms Landfill has been paying to the EPA and supposedly to the local communities for the permission to break the rules and to further ignore the health and well-being of the citizens of Fostoria Ohio.

Just please be aware that the pollutants that the landfill puts into the air and the land and water,  would be a jail sentence for any normal person because we don’t have the type of money for these permits to break the rules.

According to some research that I’ve been doing, I found out that WIN Waste Innovations invested 54 million in  hydrogen sulfide treatment equipment. But, Mark that word, invested.

The normal definition of that word would indicate that they’ll have some sort of return on their investment. Companies and people don’t make investments without some sort of future return I wonder what that investment is going to get them.

Further research says that the landfill pays out annually for permits that are already given to them for the nominal fee of $63.69 per ton of regulated pollutants put into the air or water or land. And the amount of those fees will be dictated by the year earlier and the amount of pollutants they put into the environment. Which means it fluctuates.

That’s kind of strange when the landfill says that they are not polluting the land or water, or the air for that matter, but that they are within regulation. Is that the regulations that the EPA set up for everyone or is that the altered regulations that you pay to have changed just for your situation. And besides if you are in compliance as you state then what are the permits needed for?

Further research also shows that the landfill paid out last year, 2024, 7 million dollars for permits to continue abusing the environment and the people around here with over 6 million of that supposedly going into the local communities.

I could be wrong but I don’t recall ever hearing about any of that money being used for the communities and if it is being used for the communities I would really love to know what for? Or is it maybe that over six million dollars goes into the governmental bodies of said communities who may  have no idea anything about it.

The information also stated that that 7 million was given to the EPA 6 million of which was then distributed among the communities by the EPA.

The EPA’s total disregard of their own rules and regulations just to make a buck sickens me to my very core.

The EPA was started supposedly as an organization to help protect the environment and human life but it seems to me that the sham of an organization was started as another way to make a buck I guess that at the time the organization was created as just another way to allow the richest of the rich to do whatever they want for a small fee that keeps them and their pockets full, and for us little guys to continue paying our abusers for the privilege of being abused. And for us to pay for that with either monetary means or our by our lives and livelihood.

I’ve asked this many times before and I’ll ask it again but before anybody decides to answer it for them just understand it’s a rhetorical question, ” how much does it cost me for a permit to break every rule that the EPA has set up, and how much is a permit to continue to destroy the environment and the people around me”

Well I just gave you a little bit of it I’m sure there’s a hell of a lot more to go through which I will be doing. I guess I’m going to start all over again with poking the bear and hoping for a better outcome (insanity)  Some people never learn, me included.

I haven’t given up the fight yet and neither should you.

FIGHT
