UPPER SANDUSKY | Half‑Pound of Meth Seized in Wyandot County Raids; Four Facing Potential Felony Charges

The Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit says a months‑long narcotics investigation has led to the seizure of roughly half a pound of suspected methamphetamine, firearms, and other drugs following coordinated raids at two homes in Wyandot County.

According to a news release dated February 2, 2026, detectives executed the first search warrant at 14391 State Highway 294 in Upper Sandusky, the residence of Jeremy D. Clark and Kacy J. Swan. Investigators report recovering several firearms and suspected methamphetamine from the property. The case file is being forwarded to the Wyandot County Prosecutor’s Office for review of potential felony charges, including possession of methamphetamine, having weapons while under disability, and tampering with evidence.

A second warrant was served at 108½ South Vance Street in Carey, the home of Alex and Michael Naeyaert. Detectives say they found a “large amount” of suspected methamphetamine, prescription pills, a handgun, cash, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, baggies, and other items commonly tied to drug trafficking. Prosecutors are expected to consider felony counts such as trafficking in methamphetamine, aggravated possession of drugs, and weapons under disability once lab analysis and reports are complete.​

In total, investigators estimate they seized approximately 155 grams—about one‑half pound—of suspected methamphetamine between the two locations. Additional suspected illegal narcotics were also collected and will be sent to a laboratory for official testing, authorities said.

Sheriff Todd D. Frey and Carey Police Chief Jeff Conley emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and remains open. They are urging residents to report suspicious activity through the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office app, the METRICH app, or by contacting any local law‑enforcement agency, noting that anonymous tips are accepted.​
