FOSTORIA | Halloween Parade Set for Sunday, Oct. 25; Parade Entry Registration Closes Today

FOSTORIA — Groups that want to be in Fostoria’s Halloween Parade have until today, Friday, Oct. 16, to sign up, according to a City of Fostoria Facebook post.

The parade starts at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. Lineup begins at 4 p.m., and float judging is set for about 4:30 p.m., the city said.

A costume contest will be held right after the parade outside the Fostoria Municipal Building, 213 S. Main St.

How to enter

The city invited groups, organizations, businesses and bands to take part. Entries are being taken online through the parade registration page, which the city said closes today.

The city’s flyer lists the parade location as downtown Fostoria. The post did not include a parade route or lineup location.

Trick-or-treat Oct. 31

Trick-or-treat in Fostoria is Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the city said.

The city asked drivers to slow down that evening and watch for children. Residents who are handing out candy are asked to leave their porch lights on.
