Benton Ridge Man Charged with Domestic Violence in Hancock County
BENTON RIDGE, Ohio — A Benton Ridge man has been booked into the Hancock County Justice Center on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge following his arrest earlier this week.
According to jail records, 21‑year‑old Joseph Ray Miller was booked on January 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. on one count of “Domestic Violence (Simple Assault),” classified as a first‑degree misdemeanor. Bond in the case was set at $500 cash, and the booking lists the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office as the arresting agency.
Miller remains under the supervision of the Hancock County Justice Center pending future court proceedings. The charge is an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
