Directories do not always agree
A United Way Seneca County guide updated in late 2025 lists FISH of Tiffin at 455 E. Market St. by appointment only, and says the Salvation Army pantry serves Tiffin residents by appointment with pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays. First Step’s June 2026 regional resource guide lists the same Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., hours for FISH as the food bank does. That is why calling first matters.
Free hot meals
The United Way guide lists the Ecumenical Sharing Kitchen at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 46 Madison St., Tiffin, Mondays and Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with no restrictions (419-447-1743). The Seneca County Commission on Aging serves weekday lunches for people 60 and older in Tiffin and at 601 Findlay St. in Fostoria. Call 24 hours ahead: 419-435-0436 in Fostoria or 419-447-5792 in Tiffin.
What to bring
Requirements vary. Many pantries ask for a photo ID and proof of address, and some have income guidelines or limit visits to once a month. Ask when you call.
