FINDLAY — A Findlay woman was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries Friday evening, Oct. 16, after her car struck the back of a semi-trailer on Bright Road, according to a news release from the Findlay Police Department.
Police identified the driver as Nancy Coffman of Findlay.
Coffman was driving a 2008 Hyundai Elantra north on Bright Road, just south of North Romick Parkway, behind a semi-truck pulling a 2022 Great Dane trailer, police said. The truck’s driver, Abdiaziz Mumin of Columbus, began slowing for traffic, and Coffman’s car hit the rear of the trailer, according to the release.
HANCO EMS took Coffman to Blanchard Valley Hospital. The release did not give any further details on her condition and did not mention any injury to Mumin.
Police said Coffman was issued a citation. The crash remains under investigation.
The Findlay Fire Department, HANCO EMS and R and A Towing assisted at the scene.
The police release was published by WFIN on Saturday morning. Contact information for the department is available on the City of Findlay Police Department page.
