Oak Harbor Uses Strong Second Half to Defeat Fostoria, 62–40

Oak Harbor surged past Fostoria in the second half to claim a 62–40 non-conference win Saturday night. The Redmen started strong, matching Oak Harbor’s intensity early, but the momentum shifted late in the second quarter as the visitors found a shooting rhythm.

A barrage of three-pointers in the third quarter allowed Oak Harbor to extend its lead and keep Fostoria chasing for the remainder of the game. Despite flashes of strong play, Fostoria’s energy and consistency waned as fatigue set in.

Head coach Cody Johnson highlighted conditioning and focus as ongoing areas of development for his young team, acknowledging improvements compared to their previous outing. Senior Jayceon Tucker anchored the Redmen effort, fighting through heavy contact in the paint and providing leadership on both ends. Johnson stressed that continued progress in ball movement and defensive execution will be key as Fostoria works through its growing pains.
