TIFFIN — Downtown Tiffin is set for a full day of Halloween fun on Saturday, Oct. 24, starting with the 2026 Seneca County Halloween Parade at 10 a.m. and ending with a free country music concert under the lights at East Green Amphitheater.
The parade
The parade begins at St. Joseph Catholic Church on South Washington Street and travels through downtown to Riverside Drive, according to Destination Seneca County, the county’s official tourism organization, which organizes the event. This year’s grand marshal is the entire team at Taiho Corporation of America, which is marking 30 years of production at its Tiffin plant. Taiho began operating in Tiffin in June 1996.
Businesses, schools and community groups that want to walk in the parade can find registration information through Destination Seneca County’s parade page.
After the parade: costume contest and Spook Around Downtown
As soon as the parade wraps up, the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library will host a Halloween costume contest at East Green Amphitheater for children from birth through fifth grade. Prizes will be handed out in four categories: cutest, spookiest, most creative and best makeup. Questions can go to the library at 419-447-3751.
The fun continues around downtown until about 3 p.m. with Spook Around Downtown, presented by the nonprofit Simply Shop Local. Organizers list inflatables and pumpkin decorating in the RTA parking lot, donuts and apple cider in front of the Seneca County Courthouse, carnival-style games on Court Street and cookie decorating at the Tiffin Community Kitchen. A passport-style “Shop Local Boo-Trail” runs all day at participating downtown businesses.
Evening: farmers market, chili and a free concert
From 5 to 8 p.m., the Tiffin-Seneca Farmers Market and a community chili cook-off will set up on Jefferson Street.
At 7 p.m., Simply Shop Local presents Strait Country, a George Strait tribute show featuring performer Howard Decker, at East Green Amphitheater, 155 E. Market St. The concert is free and open to the public, and organizers say there will be a beer garden, food trucks, apple dumplings and ice cream.
Trick-or-treat is Sunday
City of Tiffin trick-or-treat is Sunday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. Residents who are handing out candy are asked to turn on their porch lights. For other city news and updates, visit the City of Tiffin website.
Destination Seneca County’s full list of Halloween events around the county, including village parades and trick-or-treat times in Fostoria, Bettsville, Republic, Attica and other communities, is posted on its Haunts and Harvests calendar.
