FOSTORIA | SPLASH PAD OPENING TOMORROW July 3rd at 11:00AM

FOSTORIA | The City of Fostoria announced that the Fostoria Splash Pad will officially open **tomorrow, July 3, at 11:00 a.m.** for a soft launch and will remain open until dusk.

Today, the splash pad successfully passed all required state and county inspections, allowing us to welcome families just in time for the holiday weekend and these summer temperatures!

While a few finishing touches are still being completed, including the installation of benches, fencing, and sponsor recognition signage, we know how important it is to provide our children and families with a place to cool off during this heat. Rather than make everyone wait any longer, we’ve decided to open the splash pad and let the fun begin!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported this project, donated, volunteered, and patiently waited throughout a process that took longer than anticipated. This project would not have been possible without the generosity and dedication of our community, contractors and city employees.

**Important Info:**
– Bathrooms will be unlocked daily at opening and secured at closing.
– The splash pad area will be under video surveillance for the safety of all visitors.
– A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned for more details!
– Since this is a soft launch, please keep in mind that we still need to perform some minor projects within the park so there may be a day or two where the park is temporarily closed.

**Beginning Saturday, July 4th, regular splash pad hours will be: Dawn to Dusk daily**

**SPLASH PAD RULES** (We kindly ask that you read and follow all rules. These are also posted at the site.)

THESE FACILITIES ARE NOT SUPERVISED. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

• Splash pad is intended for children 12 years old and younger.
• Children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
• Clean and proper swim attire must be worn.
• Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper or plastic pants.
• Water shoes or proper footwear are strongly recommended, as surfaces may become hot.
• Splash pad water is not suitable for drinking.

**The following are prohibited:**
• Alcohol
• Smoking or tobacco products
• Pets
• Inline skates
• Bicycles
• Scooters
• Skateboards
• Running or rough play
• Loud music
• Glass containers
• Soaps or shampoos
• Water balloons
• Climbing on splash pad equipment is not permitted.
• Do not use the splash pad during thunderstorms or when lightning is present. Please wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning before returning.
• Individuals with contagious illnesses or infectious conditions are prohibited from using the splash pad.
• Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or exhibiting erratic behavior, is prohibited from using the splash pad.

The City of Fostoria reserves the right to close the splash pad at any time without advance notice.
