BREAKING | Head on Collision on SR 587, Fostoria Sends 5 to Hospital

FOSTORIA | At approximately 10:04 a.m. on January 27, Bascom Fire and Seneca County EMS were dispatched to the intersection of State Routes 18 and 587 in Fostoria, Ohio, for a head-on collision.
A volunteer firefighter arrived on scene at 10:12 a.m., followed by Bascom Fire, Seneca County EMS, and Fostoria Fire. At that time, one individual was unresponsive but breathing, and another was in and out of consciousness.
According to scanner radio traffic, by 10:27 a.m. all occupants had been extracted from the vehicles, and five patients began transport to Fostoria Community Hospital. A male in his 40s suffered severe injuries with multiple deformities to his legs and arms; he was unconscious but breathing during transport.
Additionally, two children in backseat restraints were transported with minor injuries. The female passenger and male driver were also transported to Fostoria Community Hospital.
