Jean W. Longacre, 101, of Fostoria, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, Ohio. She was born June 18, 1924 in Bellevue, Ohio to William & Dorothy (Swartz) Stubblefield. She married Vern D. Longacre on May 11, 1951 in Findlay, Ohio and he later passed away.

She is survived by her sons David Longacre of Toledo & Tim (Tina) Longacre of Churubusco, IN, grandchildren Mallory, Grant (Brittney) & Bennett, step grandchildren Dustin, Tiffany & Camarie Elliott, Andrea Wagner, great grandchild Isla Longacre.

She is preceded in death by her parents & husband.

Jean was a 1942 graduate of Fostoria High School, attended Weaton College in Illinois & earned her RN degree from Wayne State. She worked for many years as an RN at Fostoria City Hospital. She was a member of the Fostoria Baptist Church. Jean was a Cadet Nurse Corps member during WWII.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, Ohio with Speaker Brad Schlumbohm officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Ohio. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services.
