PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP – A vehicle crashed into a business along Fremont Pike in Perrysburg Township late Wednesday morning, and one person who was pinned against a wall was carried out by rescuers, according to fire dispatch radio traffic.

Perrysburg Township fire crews were sent to the area shortly before noon, Oct. 28. A dispatcher relayed that one person had been pinned against the wall of the building, had gotten free and was bleeding but awake, and was being carried out. Arriving crews reported “a vehicle completely into the building,” and a fire chief took command of the scene.

Two engines and three medic units were called to the scene, according to the radio traffic. One medic crew was directed inside Perfection Nails, a nail salon in the 10000 block of Fremont Pike near U.S. 20. Radio traffic did not make clear which business the vehicle struck or how many people were inside at the time.

The condition of the injured person, whether anyone else was hurt and what caused the crash have not been released. Police were on scene, according to the radio traffic. The Perrysburg Township police and fire departments had not issued a public statement as of early Wednesday afternoon.

This is a developing story and will be updated as officials release more information.
