TIFFIN | 6-Year-Old Dirt Bike Racer Chases $25,000 Prize in National Contest

A 6-year-old dirt bike racer from Tiffin who has reached the podium all season is now in the running for a $25,000 prize in a national online contest, 13abc reported.

The young rider started on dirt bikes at age 3 and has collected several trophies over the past three years, according to the station. His mother told 13abc that one of his best races came on his birthday, when the crowd at the track cheered him on. The rider told the station his favorite part of racing is jumping and going fast.

The family entered him in Stan Lee’s Super Kid, a competition that raises money for The Stan Lee Foundation, which supports literacy and storytelling. The overall winner receives a $25,000 honorarium, a spot as an illustrated character in a special-edition Stan Lee comic book and four VIP passes to Los Angeles Comic Con 2027, according to the official contest rules.

His mother told 13abc the family would first use any winnings to buy a new dirt bike. She said he has raced on two bikes in three years and will likely need a new one every year or two as he grows. The money could also help pay for indoor winter races, which she said are fairly pricey.

How to vote
Voting for the current round closes Oct. 22, and the contest is expected to wrap up in December, according to 13abc. The contest says supporters can cast one free vote every 24 hours at thesuperkid.org, and can also vote by making a donation. Parents cannot buy votes for their own child.

The competition is run by Colossal, a registered professional fundraiser, on behalf of the charitable grantmaker DTCare, which grants the donations to The Stan Lee Foundation, according to a contest news release.
