BODYCAM: Female Teachers Can Be Predators Too: Texas Woman Pleads Guilty to 4 counts of sexual assault on a 14 year old
The video documents how 24‑year‑old Texas teacher Annaleigh Andrews groomed and sexually abused a 14‑year‑old middle‑school student she met at McMichael Middle School, and how detectives ultimately uncovered the full extent of her crimes.
Investigators are first alerted when screenshots of sexually suggestive Snapchat messages between Andrews and the boy are anonymously posted to Facebook, prompting the school district to call police and the boy’s mother to bring him in for an interview. The teen describes meeting Andrews at school, exchanging social media information, then being picked up from his home and taken to multiple locations—including a vacant “mansion” property owned by her family, parks, parking lots and a Domino’s—where they smoked marijuana together and had repeated sexual encounters, sometimes using condoms she bought.
Detectives confront Andrews on campus as she comes in to return her computer, and during a lengthy recorded interview she admits to meeting the student several times alone, taking him to the property, smoking marijuana with him and engaging in sexual activity, while repeatedly trying to portray herself as lonely, “too trusting,” and pressured by the boy’s advances. She acknowledges knowing his age (14 turning 15) and concedes that around three sexual encounters occurred but insists she did not force him, even as the forensic interview and messages depict her as the initiator and planner of the meetings.
Police have her lead them to the “mansion,” photograph child‑appealing spaces like an air‑conditioned garage with bunk beds and toys, and seize her phone; later, they confirm that the student’s girlfriend was the one who accessed his Snapchat, took screenshots, and exposed the abuse online. No evidence emerges of additional victims, but Andrews resigns by email and is eventually arrested at her home on multiple felony warrants.
The video closes by noting that in August 2024 Andrews pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault of a child under 17 and three counts of online solicitation of a minor, receiving a concurrent two‑year prison sentence, a fine, credit for time served, and a requirement to register as a sex offender.
